I was looking for an extra boost of confidence going into the exam, and Aparna was able to deliver that for me. She knows the bar exam subjects thoroughly, and a few short sessions with her put some concepts solidly in place for me that I would have worked a lot harder to do on my own. She supplied the extra support that helped push me over the pass line. She is also funny -- tutoring helped bring my mood up during times of long study hours.

Aparna -

I sat for the CA Bar Exam a total of seven times. During my first six attempts, I had utilized three other tutors but Aparna is the only tutor I worked with who created a study schedule that (1) worked for me and my personal schedule, (2) utilized the resources I already owned and (3) broke the topics down in ways that allowed me to learn the subjects and not feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information. I also utilized Aparna's weekly group subject classes; these were immensely helpful in determining the best approach to a topic and which aspects of a topic to focus on. Aparna is an incredibly supportive tutor who answered all of my questions, eased my anxieties and made sure I felt completely prepared and calm on exam day. Even when the exam date was postponed, she adapted my study schedule and ensured I would be prepared for the new date. Aparna is one of the reasons I passed the bar exam and I have already recommended her to other future bar exam takers.

Prince -

I utilized Prince for my weakest MBE subjects, specifically civil procedure. Prince was an engaging tutor who approached the subjects with enthusiasm. Further, Prince provided actionable and specific steps to improve my scores. MBE's have always been my weakest section but with Prince's guidance and approach, I completely changed how I practiced MBEs and saw my scores increase. I absolutely recommend Prince as a MBE tutor; his MBE approach helped me immensely.

Aparna was an amazing tutor and she was very supportive throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond to help me understand the material and she thoroughly prepared for each of her tutoring sessions. She also helped me keep myself on schedule based on the study plan she created for me. I am very thankful for her tutoring services and I would recommend anyone studying for the bar exam to take her classes.

I heard about Aparna through a family member who used her services and raved about how much it helped her grasp what was needed to pass the bar exam. Besides the normal stress that comes with studying for the bar exam I also had the stress of just having graduated law school in the midst of a global pandemic, an exam that was rescheduled 3 times, the format of the exam changing, and the anxiety of being the first set of examinees taking the bar exam online with software that was not tested. Needless to say, there were a lot of distracting factors that took my focus away from actually focusing on the exam material itself. Aparna was able to help reground me and refocus on the task at hand. She efficiently broke down complex concepts into digestible pieces that not only made it easier to understand, but also easier to memorize! When the exam date got closer, and I felt like I did not have the time to study an entire subject (corporations!) I was able to reach out to her and schedule a private session where she broke down the subject to its most important and most commonly tested parts and she provided me with a large pool of past essays that addressed the issues and sub-topics, allowing me to see exactly how they have been tested in the past and how an answer for that certain issue should look like. Additionally during bar prep I was struggling with PTs, namely with the timing. It felt impossible to complete them in the limited time given, but with Aparna’s tips and tricks, as well as her strategies for organizing notes for the PT, I was able to significantly reduce the time I spent on PTs and began to finish in time! Not only does she provide exceptional service, she really knows her stuff, genuinely cares for her students, and is always one simple text or email away. I would highly recommend her services to anyone who just needs that little extra boost (or a lot of boost!) with studying for the bar exam. I can confidently say that my success on the October 2020 exam was due in large part to her services.

I initially hired Aparna to assist me in my courses while attending law school. I had difficulty grasping the subjects, how to write a law school exam, and memorization. Aparna helped simplify the process by breaking down the explanations of black letter law, how to organize and issue spot an essay, and how to actively learn that would ultimately lead to memorization. Because of her help, I was able to get through all my courses in law school, rise above the ranks, and churn out well written high scoring exams.

Aparna provides materials for any type of learner you are. She breaks down concepts, so that you can conceptualize the material if you are an audio learner. She will also provide resources, charts, and draw out pictures if you are a visual learner. She provides tips and guidance on how to approach the most nuanced questions. She became my secret weapon in law school.

When it came time to prep for the bar exam, Aparna was able to provide workshops at an affordable cost. I was able to cater my study plan and sit in on courses that I identified as my weak areas. Instead of a traditional bar prep program, Aparna was able to provide a small intimate study session, which she offers either in the preference of solo or group practice. She provided plenty of essay practice, tips and tricks, and will answer any questions email or text.

Aparna gives you plenty of feedback in all of your essays, performance tests, and guidance on MBEs. She takes the time to structure her class that is conducive to your learning style and turns feedback around within hours. She walks you through every subject and dilutes the material down in such a way that is digestible.

Aparna is an excellent resource to your bar prep study and will be your key to success.

I heard about Aparna and her private bar tutoring services through a family friend. I did not have a good understanding of what studying for the bar really entailed. Aparna took out the time to explain how the exam was broken up and more importantly helped me create a study schedule that was catered to me, accounting for particular subjects that required more time. Aparna truly understands the test well and how to properly prepare for it. For example, with her guidance and tips, I saw an increase in my multiple choice score almost immediately. In addition, after grading my essays, she spent a great deal of time telling me where exactly I needed to focus to improve my scores. I particularly struggled with performance tests. However, Aparna was there by my side to help me figure out the best way for me to tackle those nerve-racking PTs! Her online PT workshop was incredibly helpful to me. Eventually, I became so comfortable with the PTs and also saw an increase in my score.

Overall, Aparna was always willing to take the time to answer all my questions and explain any confusing topics. For me, I struggled with Constitutional Law and Real Property. Aparna is an exceptional teacher.  In addition to providing wonderful tutoring services, she understands exactly what each of her students are going through. She was such a caring and calming presence during the scary and overwhelming process of studying for the bar! She provided me with the support and reassurance one needs during a time that is filled with so much anxiety and stress.

Aparna goes above and beyond for her students and is a phenomenal tutor. I really cannot thank her enough for helping me pass the bar! I have recommended her to all my friends who are taking the California bar exam and will continue to do so! Aparna is truly one of a kind and her tutoring services are unparalleled!

Aparna is the reason I passed the July 2019 Bar. Passing the Bar is not about what you know; it’s how you deliver what you know. She gave excellent examples and took the time to explain what the Bar graders are looking for in their minute grading system. I took other essay grading outfits, and they gave canned responses to every essay. Failing the bar the first time is devastating news. The second time is even worse. This is not the time to be cheap. You lose far more by not passing that test, than paying her below-market fees. Hire her…she is worth every penny!!

I was referred to Aparna by a family friend. She prepared me for the Wills and Trust portion of the bar exam. What I appreciated the most was her approachable demeanor and the fact that she is relatable. I felt comfortable during such a stressful time approaching her with even the silliest of questions.

Aparna was really helpful throughout the entire process while studying for the Bar Exam. She gave great advice and amazing strategies that I used to help me pass the Bar. I took Barbri before her and the essays I got graded back from her gave a much more thorough analysis than Barbri on the essays I had graded. She not only understands the material very well, but she is also able to teach it where people can also understand it better. I would definitely recommend Aparna as a Bar exam tutor!

I took the California State Bar twice and failed twice before I found Aparna. She came highly recommended by a fellow law student. I decided to give her a try, although my hopes of ever passing were extremely low. At our first meeting, Aparna reviewed my past exams and gave me several pieces of great advice on how to restructure my written exams. I knew immediately that she knew what she was doing. I went to her PT workshop, which was a game-changer. Her approach is simple, manageable and definitely worked better for me than what I learned from school and big bar review companies. I also went to her writing workshop. She will give you advice and an approach you can actually use! She gives you tools that add points to your written exams and PT's that would normally be missed. She also gave me several outlines that were succinct and easy to memorize! After working with Aparna for a few months, I took the Bar for the third time, and I PASSED! I know it was because I used Aparna's advice and was able to add those extra points to my written exams and my PT that I needed to get me over the hump. She always responded immediately to my questions or concerns. She always made herself available to meet when I felt I needed an extra push. She even held an emergency meeting for us just a few days before the bar. She will cheer you on when you feel like you can't do it and she will also call you out and make you work on the areas where you are weak. I am now an attorney, working my dream job with the Bar long behind me and I have Aparna to thank.

I was given Aparna’s information through a family friend, who described her as a “Rockstar” of a tutor.  After failing the bar exam more than twice, I was feeling totally defeated, frustrated, and questioned my ability to be an attorney altogether.  One phone call with Aparna and I knew she was the tutor for me.  Her approach made leaps and bounds more sense than any commercial bar prep program ever did.  She created a day-to-day schedule tailored to my individual needs under my time constraints, which were on a very tight time frame as the results from the October 2020 exam and the February 2021 exam were only 7 weeks apart.  She presented the material in a simple, easy to remember (often hilarious) and easy to understand way, pinpointing exactly what we needed to know should a topic come up on the exam and exactly how to write to show the bar grader we knew what we were talking about to get those points.  She was extremely supportive during the rigorous 7 weeks of prep, always making herself available for questions or to read an essay, on top of the near daily subject matter lectures and workshops.  But what is probably most notable about Aparna is that she genuinely invests in her students’ success.  I was determined to pass the bar and Aparna was determined to get me there.  I truly felt that she cared about me, understood where I was coming from and believed in me.  Aparna helped me achieve my lifelong goal of becoming an attorney, and for that, I will always be grateful.

Like many other students, I have always found multiple choice questions to be difficult. Unfortunately, they make up 50% of the score on the bar exam, so it was crucial for me to make them something I could tackle.  Prince’s approach to dissecting the MBEs was methodical and instantly clicked with me.  He explained that the way the bar examiners write the questions are intentional insofar as wording, what traps are created, what traps to avoid and that every correct answer on an MBE increases our chances of passing, taking away power from the arbitrary essay graders.  Prince also showed that there are only so many ways a subject matter can be tested on with MBEs, which was a game changer for me.  In the weeks leading up to the February 2021 bar exam, my practice exam MBE scores improved tremendously, from about 60% to 80%, in all subjects.  Throughout the whole prep process, Prince was always patient and took the time to answer all my “dumb” questions when I would get stuck on an MBE. I’ll never know what my MBE scores were on the February 2021 bar exam but because of Prince’s help, they were high enough to pass.

Right away, Aparna was helpful during our first phone call. She helped me understand the areas where I was lacking and told me where to focus my time. Having her create a schedule for me was crucial and I'm sure I only passed the Performance Test because I attended Aparna's class. I trusted her and the process so I was confident in passing. She's smart, friendly and responsive! I will recommend her to my friends in the future.
